Sungrid: eorts for excellence
Are all solar modules manufactured and tested the same way? No. At Sungrid we meet all certification standards and provide a level of quality control which goes well beyond these. This includes pre-assembly component checks, module assembly checks (Electroluminescence and Gel content tests), performance testing (Flash tests) and ongoing random module testing, all by our Australian Engineers within ISO 9001 rated facilities. This ensures that you get the quality and performance you expect and pay for.
How would my choice of Sungrid solar modules benefit me, now and in the future? When you buy Sungrid modules for your solar PV system, you are buying into an Australian company with a proven track record of quality solar PV product development. Sungrid’s headquarters is in Perth and we provide nationwide sales, customer service and technical support for any of your future needs. This ensures peace of mind that you will be dealing directly with a locally based technically proficient team.

Sungrid: performance and longevity advantages
Junction Box • Superior dust and water ingress
protection rating for longevity
• Additional potting for enhanced electrical arcing protection
Backsheet• Environmental and UV protection
• Mechanical stress (dents, scratches) protection
Encapsulant• Protects the cells from mechanical
stresses
• Transmits light to the cells and UV stable
Glass Front Sheet• Tempered solar glass resistant to mechanical loading and impacts
• Higher transmittance of light
Frame • Structural mounting support
• Black anodized and corrosion resistant
PV Cells
• Colour matched for uniform look
• Flawless grade A cells, in depth inspected
Quality component technology every step of the way
Our attention to detail is due to our wealth of experience in the Solar PV industry. Solar modules sit on rooftops for 25 years or more and can take quite a beating from the natural elements. That is why every component part used in a Sungrid module is sourced from only the best international PV module component specialists. Our PV modules are made for high performance, high efficiency and operational longevity. We do not substitute cheap components for the original certified bill of materials, nor do we sacrifice quality at any stage of the production process.

Sungrid: no compromise on quality
A zero tolerance approach on defectsAll Sungrid commissioned manufacturing facilities maintain internationally accredited quality assurance processes. This provides us, and our customers, with a high level of confidence in the quality of our products which is supported by our warranties. The length of the module warranty is a direct reflection of the confidence a producer has in its own product.
Sungrid provides technical support to its manufacturers and assesses all component supplies, manufacturing processes and facilitates the strictest of quality control programmes.
Cutting edge cell technology
Glass with surface coating for improved performances
Sealing of all connections minimising risk of arcing over time
Robust black anodized frame

Manufacturing Tests:
• 100% Electroluminescence (EL) Test: to check for non-visible micro cracks and other cell defects.
• 100% Flash Test: to check the module power output is within specified tolerances.
Local Tests:
Australian based scientific tests are performed with the support of the School of Engineering and Energy at Murdoch University for technical knowledge development.
Pre-assembly checks
•
• Storage conditions checked
• Materials integrity checked
Module assembly visual checks
• Cell Sorting
• Soldering
• Layup
• Laminating
Electroluminescence Inspection – micro cracks detected. Amongst other defects, micro cracks can lead to hotspots. Hotspots result from the bad conduction/evacuation of the generated current which is critical as
it can lead to the potential failure of the modules.

We live in an over 50’s residential estate and when looking to lower our carbon footprint and reduce our electricity bill our preferred installer recommended solar panels distributed by Sungrid.
After plenty of homework, a total of 165 installations were carried out at Oyster Cove Residential Resort.
today as when they were first installed. Further, we have peace of mind in the knowledge that Sungrid provide a local Australian warranty in the event of any future issues.
We would have no hesitation in highly recommending Sungrid as a provider of first class solar panels.
Graham & Ann Scott
We recently built a new home and being power conscious we researched to have the best possible solar powered system installed at the right price.
We found that the majority of the panels on the market to be very similar to each other however, we chose to go with the Sungrid’s panels as the company has an extensive quality control procedure and support basis both in Perth and offshore. This back-up made our decision very easy when considering the panels have a life expectancy of over 25 years.
commends Sungrid for helping us make the right investment decision.
Ian & Silvana Ricciardi
I have a 1.3 kW Sungrid PV system on my roof and it has performed faultlessly since it was installed last winter. I have not had to pay any electricity bills, apart from the installation costs, since the system was installed.
