When you donate to Prajnya,

you enable change.

Here are some of the things we hope to do in 2012-13,

with your support.

More LifeStories interviews

• More video and audio interviews with women from the generation that participated in the Freedom Movement. And others.

• Archival storage.• Transcription.• Editing into short

podcasts.

Time is running out for this invaluable documentation work.

Help us record and preserve these stories and photos.

Prajnya Archives “Scan-Camps”

Talks and “scan-camps” that reach out to create awareness:

• Of women’s contributions to society• Of family albums and stories as historical resources• That encourage people to bring photos and stories to

the archives.

Research on Gender Violence

A full time programme of research on gender violence as the foundation for not just the Gender Violence Report but other shorter information initiatives on traditional and new media.

2012 Prajnya 16 Days Campaign against Gender Violence

From November 25 to December 10, 2012, Prajnya will once more join groups all over the world to mark 16 days of multi-media, multi-format activism through creating awareness about the different forms of gender-based violence and the local, legal and attitudinal solutions to this pervasive challenge.

Sustained peace education engagement with schools

Establishing lasting peace is the work of education; all politics can do is keep us out of war. ~ Maria Montessori

Through:• Classroom technique

training for teachers.• Creating curricular

content.• Engaging school

administrators, teachers, parents and students through workshops and activities to think about social issues and peace.

The hard road to sustenance

We’ve managed so far because people donate time, space and material which we don’t even count.

It’s time we began to pay our way. • Communications costs. • Publication costs.•Token honoraria.• Professional costs.

Your donation will go a long way because we will use it

optimally and frugally. Many, many generous individuals

have jumpstarted our journey towards the Rs. 800,000/- we need for next year.

But now we need a few large donations to take us forward, league by league.

Twelve donations of Rs. 50,000/-, for instance.

Will you or your company

be one of them?
