What we would like to introduce includes…

The novel things you might have never seen.

The reasons you might want to visit Taiwan.

First, the Crane Game!

Yup! This is the game you have probably

heard of in the video game Mario Party playing Nintendo

64, except that we have the real version!

In America, you only see these machines in Las

Vegas,

but in Taiwan, you can find them almost anywhere.

How to play? There are various kinds of items displayed in a clear box. You push in a coin to start the

machine. Control your “crane” or “claw” so it is right above the item you want. Press the “ Go ” button and it all goes down to luck. It is not as easy as it seems.

What’s inside it?

The items in the machine may include

stuffed animals, key chains, wallets,

and even watches!

What else? When you get lucky, you can own

the item without paying the full price. If you have tried and failed, and have already pushed in the coins of the same value, inform the clerk, and he’ll open up the machine and give it to you as a purchase.

It is a great game that collaborates purchasing and the fun of the game.

Then…

Taiwan’s famous food or snacks,

which can easily be seen at the

unique night market.

Stinky Tofu Some think it smells bad, Some think it smells good. From a distance, it does smell irritating, but the closer you get, the nicer it smells. Moreover, when it enters your mouth, the stink becomes an awesome sensation that only those who dare to try can

understand.

It is one of the most popular foods in our night markets.

Most Taiwanese are attracted to its smell; however, very few foreigners dare to give it a

try.

Stinky tofu is a deep fried gourmet made from soy beans that underwent

fermentation. After it is deep fried, we season it with some black vinegar, chili,

chopped garlic, and some Chinese pickled

vegetables. It tastes way better than it

sounds.

Pork Intestine Taiwanese Noodles with Oysters

Another food that tastes better than its name.

Undoubtedly, it is a bowl of Taiwanese Noodles that are eaten with chopped pork

intestines and tinier oysters you see in America.

Yes, pork intestines! But it is not as yucky as it sounds. Trust us!! It is a very traditional snack that can be found in every night market.

Perhaps his secret of its amazing taste is in the

noodles. Taiwanese noodles are thinner than most of the

noodles you see.

It contains potato starches that give the thin noodles a

thicker taste. We often add some black vinegar and cilantro on it to bring

up the taste.

Kantoni (Guangdong Boils)

Guangdong Boils, a dish with a funny name rather than a disgusting

one. This food is quite popular everywhere around

Taiwan. It is kind of like a hot food snack. Various foods are placed in a big divided

cooking pot for the customers to choose from.

It usually contains vegetable rolls, tempura, instant

noodles, pig blood cake, and internal organs (pork

liver, pork intestines, etc.).

The pig blood mixed with rice is made into a cake,

so there isn’t any blood in the soup.

Again, the internal organs don’t taste as bad as they

sound. The braised meat stew is the source of its

taste. The foods are usually served with soy sauce,

separately from the soup, because people love the

awesome flavor of the soup.

Tempura The name Tempura comes from

Portuguese, It means “quick”. It is made from fish paste. It is a deep fried snack found in night

markets.

The out layer appears golden when it is served.

Soy sauce and chili are added to give it a better taste.

Minced Meat Rice / Braised pork rice Basically,

It’s a bowl of rice covered with Taiwanese gravy.

The gravy is made out of minced pork

braised in soy sauce and other spices.

In some places, they serve it with a boiled egg

and a piece of pickled turnip.

Fried Yam Mashed yam or sweet

potatoes mixed with flour and baking

powder. Each one is kneaded into tiny marble

shaped balls. It is a deep fried snack found in

food stalls, and an awesome dessert after

meals.

Snow Flake Ice It tastes as amazing as it

sounds!! Snow Flake Ice is made from a huge

ice cube by a special machine. It looks like layers and layers of

snow, and tastes like snowflakes.

It is a unique version of ice cream topped with milk,

peanuts, sweets, prunes, candies, and others more.

It is usually stacked up to more than 3 inches on a

plate.

So, how do you think of our special

“ Night Market Culture” ?

It’s a great pleasure for us

to introduce more about Taiwan to you.

Hope you enjoy it.

And we sincerely welcome all of you to visit Taiwan.

Thank you for your time.
