Background

• Funded by NSW Health and the State Library of NSW

• Previously known as drug info @ your local library (di@yll). Started in 2002.

Who is it for?

• The NSW Community

• Specific target groups are: parents and carers of young people secondary and TAFE students

Where is it?

• Collections in NSW public libraries, 368 locations.

• Website available everywhere www.druginfo.sl.nsw.gov.au

• Available in public libraries across NSW• Includes information on specific drugs, personal

stories, drugs and the law and how to talk to teenagers about drugs and alcohol

• Copies available for reference and loan

Booklet collection

• In all 368 public libraries in NSW

• Includes information on –

The drug info collections and website include resources that support:

• the Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) syllabus in secondary schools

• Alcohol and Other Drugs Work courses and modules at TAFE

• Drug Action Week• Community Drug Action Teams
