Your referral will be screened and prioritised by a Physiotherapist and in all instances you will beallocated an appointment as soon as possible.(Please note that for some problems a telephoneappointment rather than a face to face clinicappointment will be offered)
The Contact Centre will send you a letter with thedate and time of your appointment. If this is not convenient for you please telephone thecontact centre to rearrange on:

For some Musculoskeletal problems it may beappropriate to offer you a telephoneappointment. These appointments will lastapproximately 20 minutes. A qualifiedPhysiotherapist will ask you a series of questions toassess whether you need to attend thedepartment or whether you just need someadvice and exercises.
For face to face clinic appointments; the firstappointment will last up to 60 minutes. This will allow you to explain your problem and for thePhysiotherapist to examine you. This will ensurethat a suitable management plan is developed foryour physiotherapy.
For telephone or clinic appointments you will be asked questions about your general health. Please make a note of any medication you aretaking and have it with you. Please let us know ifyou are seeing another therapist or doctor.
