Work Expectations

How much work should my student expect?

Students will experience a blend of in-school and online activities.

When in school (2 days), students willexperience learning activities in a modified setting with additional health and safety protocols.

When online (3 days), students will be assigned online learning experiences and assessments.

Elementary students should expect to spend approximately 2.5 to 3 hours on their schoolwork each day.

Grading

How will students be graded?

Traditional grading and assessment will continue in this model. This year only, we will not conduct traditional parent-teacher conferences.

Teachers, counselors, and administrators will continue tocommunicate with families on an as-needed basis.

Students will receive a standards-based report card.

Report cards will be modified to reflect the most critical content and skills.

*Note: This year, the elementary level will complete its transition to trimesters. Students will receive three – not four – report cards.
