Requirements for Registration

Fill out intake form and complete assessments

Students under age 18: Drop slip from former school/Parent

consent Just parental consent if home schooled Picture identification for GED students

Examples include driver’s license, state identification card, tribal identification, military identification

So I’m enrolled, now what?

Attend an orientation session

Take the assessments

Make an appointment to go over results

Make a study plan based on your goals

Student Expectations

Attend class regularly and participate Let instructor know when you cannot

attend by phone 208.792.2238 or e-mail

Make progress toward meeting your goals

Take assessments to measure progress – 60 hours of study time

Attendance Policy Attend every class, be on time, and

be prepared to work Sign in for class with the instructor Too many missed classes may result

in being dropped from the class Inform your instructor if you will be

absent or need to change your study plan

Streets have 3 hour time limits Public parking lots on D Street or Brackenbury

Square

Smoke 25 ft away from building entrances

Restrooms – located at the end of the hallway on the right

Vending machines & water – down the hallway

Turn off cell phones in class

Students can obtain an Idaho High School Equivalency Certificate by passing a

government test after they have completed the GED battery.

GED Testing Information Thursday mornings or by appointment only Pre-register & pre-pay by noon Wednesday Retakes allowed 3 times a calendar year Test is changing January of 2014 You have to be done by the end of

2013!!!! ……..or start all over in 2014

Cost $100 ($20 each test) retakes $25 for each test

GED testing here at the center Valid picture identification required & arrive early

GED Scoring 410 is a passing score on an individual

test 800 is a perfect score An overall average of 450 is needed to

pass Most colleges require an average of 500

Receiving Scores Test scores are available online with an access

code or the following Monday in the office Scores are mailed or given to you in person

We cannot release scores over the phone

GED Graduation

Ceremony each year for our graduates Families and friends are welcome Ceremony held in the LCSC Activity Center

with reception following
