Welcome back to school. You will be coming to school

on different days. Your teachers are looking

forward to seeing you.

Parents – Please use this resource to prepare your child for returning to school next week. It is

important that your child is aware things will be different so they are not too unsettled on their

return. Please make them aware that not all of their friends will be back in class with them at

this time but we hope to be back together soon.

It is time for some children to go back to school. Not everyone will be going back to school now.

What does coming back to school in a bubble mean?

Please don’t worry. Coming back to school does not mean that you will be put in an actual bubble.

A bubble is a small group of people who spend their time together at school. You can think of it as a team!

It will include some of your friends and grown ups you already know from school. You might not have all your friends in your bubble, but you will have some of them.

Your bubble will have some space inside and some space outside. None of the children in other bubbles will come into your bubble space and you won’t go into their bubble space.

Even though we won’t be spending time

To begin with, we will try not to get too close to our friends. We will play together but we will not hug and hold hands with each other. This is called social distancing. In our learning areas there are special markers on the floor to help us remember.

There are lots of games that we can play and things we can do without having to get too close.

Some things will be different.

You will wash your hands a lot in the day. We have special songs to help us wash them for 20 seconds.

Your bubble will do all their activities together. You will sing together, relax together and think together.

... And you will not be able to to do all the things that you used to do in school.

This special tape helps us to understand what we are not allowed to touch in school.

Our classroom looks different. But we will still enjoy

our learning.

Everyone will have their own learning pack with their name on it. At this time we are not allowed to share with our friends.

The teachers will give us our own resources that we need to use and they be sterilised after you have used it.

It is a bit confusing and you might have lots of different feelings about coming back to school. Talk to your family about how you are feeling.

There might be more changes that happen to keep you safe that we do not know about yet. If things do change, the adults who help you will explain it all.Things will be different but it will be OK and we are here to help you.
