“Jesus said to the servants, ‘Fill the jars with water.’ So they filled the jars to the top. Then he said to them, ‘Now take some out and give it to the master of the feast.’ So they took the water to the master. When he tasted it, the water had become wine.”

Lord God, when it comes to the problems that come my way in life, I confess that I don’t always handle them as I should. Often I don’t want to define the problem clearly because deep down I know that I’m a part of the problem and I don’t want to admit that and I don’t want to change. Forgive me, Lord.

Forgive me also for not bringing my problems to you in prayer until things are in such a mess. How that must frustrate you, Lord.

And then there are those times I do bring my problems to you and you do bring wisdom to bear on those problems through your Word, but then I don’t act. I do it my way, not your way. Forgive me for my disobedience.

Lord, I don’t know what hitches, what problems will surface this week, but I do know that you will be with me in every circumstance. And you do want to help me to face these hitches and to overcome them. Thank you, Lord. Amen.
