How to configure Chain+Level based SRM approvals ?

Application Administration console > Custom configurationService Request Management > Approval > Approval ChainsCreate new approval chain as below

Add SR Management – Chain Process for requester’s manager approval

Add a Set Field action to set Status = Waiting for Approval

Add Level Process

Add Set Field action for Level process to set Status = Planning

You may configure the status depending upon the backend request configuration or business requirements.

Create Approval Mapping : Narrow down the mapping criteria as per SRD and chain process config

Create SRD : Select Approval Type = Custom and Assignment Option = Unchecked

Make sure Request Submitter has appropriate Manager is present in CTM:People form

Submit a request with Bob

The Request is Waiting for Approval for his manager i.e. Allen

Login as Allen and approve

The SR is now waiting for approval for App Admin which is level based approval configured in approval mapping

Login as appadmin and approve :

The SR has now Planning status as configured in set field action
