OpenWCM

• Open WCM is a feature set targeted at bringing Web content management to WebCenter applications. By simply adding prebuilt components to a WebCenter page, users can contribute, publish, and approve content on their WebCenter site. A developer can add components to a WebCenter page to enable in-place editing of content on the page without the need for a round-trip into an authoring.

BPEL Worklist Service

• This WebCenter service enables you to displays tasks per user from a BPEL server, which your users can then track, update, and complete by using the service at run time.

• The service shows a list of the items from the BPEL server. When you click on an item, the associated BPEL worklist item displays in a new tab of your browser. An example of a BPEL worklist item is one associated with a Human Resources workflow, such as approving or rejecting an expense report.

Mail Service

• The Mail service lets you perform simple e-mail functions, such as view, create, and delete messages, create messages with attachments, and reply to or forward an existing mail. This service should not replace your end users’ mail clients; it simply enables users to use mail in a single, collaborative environment. The Mail service exposes data from an existing mail server, and it supports any mail server based on IMAP4 and SMTP protocol.

• If you are using the Exchange server, then you must run the page with an extapp-change-password-taskflow component and configure the credentials and logout/login

Presence

• SIMPLE (SIP for Instant Messaging and Presence Leveraging Extensions), which enables you to create actions in context of the WebCenter objects using standards-based technology

• Some of these actions could be for instant messaging (IM) services, instant voice, instant video, and instant conferencing applications

• Presence also enables you to perform Oracle WebCenter-specific actions based on presence, such as sending mail.
