We research about a shrine in my home town. The name is “Maikoroku-Shrine”.
This shrine was built more than 300 years ago.
Reason why we picked up this archtecture.
•Because this is the oldest place in my home town.
My home town name is now Maiko, but a long time ago when this town had a different name, Yamada village, a village mayor built this shrine. This is a place where you wash your hands before going into the shrine.
The scenery from this shrine is really mysterious.
This is a box where you throw coins or bills to pray for your wishes.
This is called “Mikoshi” (portable shrine) which used for festivals to wish a good harvest and a good haul.
What we learned.We thought that in the beginning, it will be easy to research because it is nearby and We know this place since we were kids. However, the shrine has a long history and it was really difficult to research about it.
