Warm-Up

• On a separate sheet of paper to turn in, please write down 2 concepts of systems/matrices you feel comfortable with and 2 concepts you do not feel comfortable with.

• Please elaborate on why you feel each concept is your strength/weakness. What are your goals to improve for the quest next class.

Matrix BaseballPRE-CALCULUS

Rules

– The batter(s) asks for a single, double, triple, or home run question. – If the team answers correctly, the appropriate selection is made on the

baseball diamond. Other runners advance the same number of bases. – If the question if answered incorrectly, a "flyball" is called, and the

question goes to a player of the team(s) that is "in the field." – After "flyball" is called, there will be pause before a player in the field is

called to answer the question. – If the player in the field answers the question correctly, the flyball has

been caught and the batter is out. One run is subtracted from the batting team's score for each out!

– If the outfielder misses the question, the flyball has been dropped and the batter goes to first base on an error. All runners advance one base on an error.

– Questions alternate between teams after each hit or out.
