A good walk (3 1/2 miles, climbing 453ft) ideal to work up a good appetite before lunch or dinner in the Cherry Pie.

From the Cherry Pie (Wern Mill) Inn cross the Mold-Denbigh road and follow the signposted footpath. The sign is

partially concealed by a lilac Bush (1).

Go straight ahead passing a hillock or "boncyn" (2) on the left with a stand of ancient beech trees (Bryn Rhug).

At the end of the road with  Nannerch Lodge (3) on your right turn right and follow the road to the next junction. Turn

left and head up towards Bryn Golau (Hill of Light).

At Ty Brun (5) and turn left and on to Nannerch Mill, a small hamlet. Go straight on 'till you reach Nannerch Village (7).

Turn left by the war memorial and first left after passing the church on your right and Nannerch Hall on your left (8).

Carry on for 15-20 minutes to Nannerch Lodge (3) where you turn right and return to the Cherry Pie Inn.

This walk is on very minor roads so muddy paths should not be a problem. Shoes with good grip are recommended.
