The 1st Lt. David Richard Reynolds Camp #2270 held a special Awards Program during our July Meeting.

This also turned out to be a surprise birthday party for Commander Joe Reynolds. Special Guest in attendance

were, Johnnie and Norma Holley, Commander of the Army of Trans-Mississippi; Dennis and Rita Brand, 2nd

Lt. Commander for the Texas Division, SCV; George Linton, 2nd Lt. Commander for the 5th Brigade; Phil

Davis, Camp Commander, Upshur County Patriots #2193 in Gilmer; Steve Austin, Veterans Service Officer

for Titus and Franklin County; Joe and Lilma Godsey or Pittsburg, Compatriot Frank Smith of the Upshur

County Patriots; and my Daughter, Angela Gibbs and her husband, Shannon Gibbs.

At the 2017 Texas Division Annual Reunion

held on June 3rd in Fort Worth, Texas, the

1st Lt. David Richard Reynolds Camp

#2270, Mount Pleasant, Texas, took 5 first

place awards. As far back as records go, no

camp has ever won 5 out of the 6 awards

available to a camp.

I want to thank each and every member

and their wives for your support during the

past year. Without you, these awards

would not have been possible.

I would also like to encourage each of you

to continue to support the camp and help us

to grow.
