Call Queuing Packet8 Virtual Office Call Queuing feature will allow customers to place their callers in a queue while they wait for the next available agent or representative.
This feature is ideal for the small business that receives incoming calls into functional areas such as sales, technical support, customer service and much more.

Call Queuing Definitions• Call Queuing: Price $6.99 per month Up to 6 Queue Groups
Maximum calls reached options are voicemail, another queue Queue Max 1-20 Callers per Queue Group

Call Queuing Limitations
• Number of rings per agent can not be set. Default is 10 secs.
Queue cannot be accessed thru the AA.– Calls can only be received from a queue virtual number or toll free
number
• Music cannot be branded. • 10 seconds per agent is a fixed setting in the queue• If someone misses a queue call do they do NOT get
logged out
• There are no reports on any except on the inbound queue DID

Call Queuing Behavior
Each Extension will ring 2 times (10secs) before going to next ext.
Customer waiting in queue can opt to go to Queue Group Voicemail Go to voicemail or stay in queue option will play every 1 minute
Customer will go to voicemail or another queue if Max Calls in Queue is exceeded. (e.g. Max Queue = 5; 6th caller will go to voicemail or another queue)
If a customer calls a Queue Group when nobody answers each extension , calls will be automatically routed to voicemail. Fixed setting

What is a Key System
• Key systems are the most basic business phone systems available differing from a PBX by call routing and features
• Key system behaviors are identical to multiline phones – Higher end systems benefit other applications like voicemail, ring groups,
basic auto attendant and sometimes call queuing.
• Primary needs of a key system is all phones ring and share a line• User picks up phone and services a customer or finds out who it is
for, then intercom that person to pick up that line– Very inefficient but in a live service or answer environment customers want
the phone to be answered.

What is Intercom?
•All Packet8 IP phones in the Virtual Office system may place an intercom call to another telephone for auto connect conversations.
•Intercom connect remote party, 2 way speech turned on then remote phone goes back to idle when disconnected
•Busy intercom extension get a busy signal

What is Corporate Directory?
•All Packet8 675xi series IP phones allows user to easily access to an on net corporate contacts list through the search function
•incoming callers id found in the directory are automatically translated showing the contact name instead of the number.

What is Shared Line Appearance?
•All Packet8 675xi series IP phones will support up to 9 shared appearance lines.
•This allows a group of people to share lines and pick up a ringing shared line

• Now the IP Phones call waiting calls roll up as additional lines.
