An outbreak of viral conjunctivitis is active in our Area for the last two weeks. Initial symptoms: 1- Foreign body sensation 2- Itching 3- Watering 4- Mid discharge 5- Redness

Precautions: Those who are having these symptoms are requested to avoid touching the eyes.

If any of the symptoms do occur please wash your eyes gently with clean water and take rest.

Those affected are not supposed to travel.

Avoid activities which cause eye strain like reading and watching TV.

Most common route of spread is direct contact and droplet.

Frequent hand washing minimize spread of infection.

Frequent cleaning of commonly used door handles can be considered
