• Seville is a city.

• It’s a big area with many

neighbourhoods.

• Many people live in Seville.

• People live mainly in flats.

• There is too much traffic and it

´s noisy.

•There are many different shops,

restaurants, hotels, hospitals,

museums, shopping centres… etc

This is Seville.

• Santiponce is a town or a village.

• It’s small and quite with fewer

neighbourhoods.

• Few people live in Santiponce.

• People live mainly in houses.

•There isn’t any traffic at all.

•There are few shops and restaurants and

mainly family-run businesses.

This is Santiponce.

What’s the difference between city and country?

City CountryIn the city, we can see cars, shops, streets, houses, flats,…

In the country, we can see trees, flowers, animals, plants,…

Places changeVillages and cities have different areas built at different times in history.•The historic centre is the oldest part. It has narrow streets and old buildings.

•Neighbourhoods: Families live in flats or houses.

•Outskirts: These areas are outside of the city and we can find industrial areas.

City services

All cities have public services that we can all use. Citizens pay tax and the town hall uses the money to provide these services.Some of them are:

- Hospitals- Metro stations- Car park- Telephone line- Electricity line- Gas pipe- Water pipe …….etc

•Obligation: Circular and blue

•Information: Square and blue
