Revelation 12:7-11

A DECISIVE BATTLE

“And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels, And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven. And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.” (Rev. 12:7-10)

Genesis 3:15 “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

John 12:31-32 “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out. And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.”

There was a great victory won at Calvary

But

There is still a battle for our souls!

The issue has been settled in heaven

Verse 11 outlines the three essential principles that are necessary to win the victory over Satan for our souls!

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Power for forgiveness!

Predicated upon the obedience of the gospel!

Perseverance and commitment!

Jesus has won!

Jesus has won!

Satan still wants you!

Jesus has won!

Satan still wants you!

But we can still be victorious!
