Product Development
• Stirling focus on Energy Market Energy from Waste Marine Renewables Waste Water
• Development of condition monitoring system for waste infrastructure Industrial Partner Focus on mechanical plant, with wider
operations to be focussed on later Suitable for our other business areas
Aero/Oil & Gas
AWEAR CM System
Innovation Vouchers
• The system is a good piece of engineering• We also want it to be a good piece of design
• Engaged an external supplier (TSB IV)• Re-skin the GUI• Help develop the brand/identity• ‘Tell the story’• Make it clear that this is a Stirling system
• Discussion with a University (SWIV)• Look at how humans gather information about
their visual environment
Summary
• Innovation Vouchers are an excellent way of funding engagement with a supplier you wouldn’t normally engage with• Internally funded project, budget is tight, yet
design support may well prove the difference• Likely to lead into follow-on work for supplier
(app development)• Supplier can also potentially support in other
areas of our business• Relatively simple application process
Good support available from SCB
Thank you for listening
