Supported by Dutchess County Government & local resident donations.

Services for veterans of Dutchess County are available to all veterans and their families. We provide services to veterans from all eras.

Services include:

• Housing: ØLocating affordable residences that fittheneedsoftheVeteran’sfamily. ØHelp with housing applications

• Financial Resources: ØUsing all available resources to help support permanent housing.

• Advocacy: ØSpeakingwithPropertyManagers, DebtCollectors,Employers,and other agencies.

• Outreach: ØConnectingwithlocalgovernment, community,othernon-profitagencies, andpropertymanagers.

• Referral Services: ØConnectingVeteranstothe resources needed to help sustain permanent housing.

• Employment (With VET-TAP Program): ØJob Searches ØInterview Prep ØResume Building ØBudgeting These efforts will help keep the Homeless Veteranpopulationlowaswecontinuetoreacttoemergencyhousingneedsandsituations.

UnfortunatelytheCountyaswellasthisgreatCountryisseeinganincreaseintheVeteranHomelesspopulation.HereatMHAofDutchessCounty’sVet2Vet:HEROprogramourgoalandmission is to reduce this population to as low a number as possible. To keep this battle in our favorwearegoingtoworkwitheveryresourceavailabletoreacttoanynewVeteranhousing crisis that arises.

We are going to pull together all our resources throughthemanyprogramsthatMentalHealthAmerica,Mid-HudsonAddictionRecoveryCenters,Vet2Vet,HEROprogram,localnotforprofits,andtheCountyhavetooffer,inordertoprovideacompletewraparoundservicethattheVeteransand their families deserve.
