1. You should set up a ‘Fan Page,’ not a ‘profile’.2. A personal Facebook account (profile) is required

to set up a Facebook Fan Page.3. The page is publicly viewable to anyone on the

internet, with or without a Facebook account.4. Any Facebook user can choose to ‘Like’ your page

and follow/interact with it.5. People can ‘see’ other page users if those users

interact with the page.6. You cannot disable comments on a Fan Page.7. You can have several page administrators.8. You can easily delete a page if needed.9. Children under 13 should not be using Facebook.

1. Tweets allow you 140 characters only.2. Unless you set your tweets to private, they can be

seen by anyone on the internet.3. You should create an impersonal, official account

name.4. It is best not follow any known individuals.5. Other Twitter users can send @ tweets directed at

your account. They cannot send you private messages unless you ‘follow’ them.

6. Other Twitter users can retweet what you post if your tweets are public.

7. Children under 13 should not be using Twitter.
