iPad Applications for Math Intervention

Jenna Linskens is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Marian University, Wisconsin. Prior to joining Marian she was an elementary educator for 12 years. Professor Linskens has an M.A. Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and currently earning an Educational Doctorate in Technology and E Learning through Northcentral University, Arizona. She provides staff development trainings and ongoing technology integration assistance to Wisconsin K12 schools. Professor Linskens provides support in Instructional Design and e Learning to organizations including the HP Catalyst Academy, IVECA, and Academy Lion. She has presented internationally, national conferences including ISTE, FETC, Campus Technology, and CoSN, and many educational conferences at the state level.

Struggling Math Students

● For every 2 years of school, children with math disabilities acquire 1 year of math proficiency

● Children with math disabilities reach a learning plateau in 7th grade

● In a general education classroom there can be students that span 7 levels of math fluency.
