The average participant produces 1418 lbs of greenhouse gasses-- roughly the equivalent of operating a car for one month. Over three days, 300 people generate the equivalent of 8 small cars.

Carbon emissions generated from heating, cooling and lighting a venue, participant travel, shipping and delivery, and lodging for 300 people for a 3 days is equivalent to the air inside over 25,000,000 basket balls.

The average participant uses 846 gallons of water- or roughly 262 gallons per day. Regular home use of water by the average American amounts to about 86 gallons per day (World Bank, 2000). A conference of 300 people over three days use the equivalent of half an Olympic size pool

The average participant produces 61lbs of solid waste over a 3 day conference– roughly 20lbs per day. the average American generates about 1.5 tons of solid waste per year – or about 4.5lbs per person, per day (USEPA, 2003)
