Using Course Planner in Naviance to Create a 4-Year Plan
Log in to your Naviance account. If you have never logged in, follow the steps below. If you have logged in before and you have since forgotten your password, email your counselor.
Go to www.nphs.org
Click “Naviance””
Click the “HERE” link
Click “courses”
Click “manage my course plans”
Click “add”
Click “Create”
Choose the plan that best suits you
Select a subject
Select the course you are taking or
intend to take
When you finish scroll down and select “Add”
Select the grade level in which the course was or will be taken
Look for a green line all the way across
Move on down the list, and select the minimum number of courses required to satisfy the subject requirement. EXTRA courses should be chosen from the elective category.
When you finish adding all courses, click “review”
Make sure you have no “NEEDS WORK” buttons…
You can view by grade
level…
Check your credit gaps…
When you finish, and you have no gaps, click “scan your plan”
If you have added colleges to Naviance, you will find out if you meet MINIMUM
requirements for them
You can alter your plan as often as you wish. Colleges will not have access to it, and it will not affect your schedule or your high school transcript. The Course Planner is simply a tool for you to use to help you make sure that you are adequately prepared for your post-high school goals.
