1. Introduction

This user guide uses “quick reference cards” to take you on a tour round FloraneXt, our new market information and statistics service. FloraneXt is the successor to the TeleVBA and Floranet services.

FloraneXt has three clear improvements on Floranet/TeleVBA:• Just one subscription to unlimited requests for information• Filters make it easier to query daily prices • There are more statistics and graphs

IfyouhavealreadysubscribedtoFloraneXt,youcanlogontotheservicethroughthewww.floraholland.comportal.You’llsee

the following screen appear. Simply click on FloraneXt under My Web Services and the application will start.

3. Common buttons and icons

Before you begin using FloraneXt, it is helpful to recognise a number of standard buttons and icons that appear regularly throughout the application.

Button Explanation

Click here to go to the next option, for example quick scan, products, lots or transactions.

Thisbuttonrevealsthefilters.

Thisbuttonhidesthefilters.

Clickonthisbuttonifyouwanttoclearorundothefiltersyousetpreviously.

Click on this button if you want to compare products from My Own Day Info and Auction Day Info.

This button gives you the most current information. This is particularly relevant if the auction is still in progress.

If you have sorted a column, you can undo this action by clicking on this button.

If you have created an analysis, you can go back to the ‘selection criteria’ and change the analysis by clicking on this button.

Click on the calendar icon to search on a date.

Click here to do an advanced search.

Export to Excel (you can export only your own data).

Print (you can print only your own data).

Provides more information not shown on the screen.

The Current screen is the opening screen of FloraneXt. This gives a short, concise overview of the current auction day.

6. My Own Day Info

Request your purchase overviews by clicking on ‘My Own Day Info’ on the menu bar. You’ll arrive at the My Own Day Info screen. During the auction process, as a customer, you can request an overview of your purchases of the current auction day. You can also analyse your daily data of the last 30 days. If you have more than one buyer number, you can request overviews for each of those numbers.

Filtersallowyoutocreateyourownoverviews.Youcanfilterondifferentcategoriesanditworksonthemulti-tickboxprinciple.Forexample, if you want to analyse one or more particular locations, the following dropdown menu is shown:

In My Own Day Info, the dropdown menu shows only the locations at which you buy. Simply select the locations you want to include in your overview by ticking the relevant boxes.

7. Auction Day Info

Go to the Auction Day Info screen to get price information about the whole auction (you can go back 30 days).

StartIfyou’reusingFloraneXtforthefirsttimeandyouwanttorequestauctiondayinfoofcertainproducts,clickon‘selectproduct group’.

Making a selection 1Theselectionscreenhastwoparts.Inthetoppartarefavouriteproducts.Inthebottompartuptofivelevelscanbeentered.Click on ‘delete’ to undo a selection.

If you select only the main group, all sub-groups appear in the selection window. By then selecting a sub-group, the current selection is updated and the relevant crop group appears in the selection window.

Making a selection 2It’s also possible to search directly on a number or name of groups or products. By entering (part of) a name/number, all products or groups found appear in the selection window underneath. By then clicking on a product or group, the current selection on the screen is adjusted.

8. Auction Quick Scan

Auction Quick Scan gives you an overview of a product that has been traded at one location or the whole auction in the pasttenauctiondays.Selectfirstaproductbyclickingon‘selectproductgroup’.Thenclickon‘selectlocation’toviewthefollowing data:

GotoAnalysistorequestdifferentstatisticsforacertainperiod.Thiscanbeeithergrower-specificorfortheauctioningeneral. Statistics are available for the current year and the previous two years.

9. 1 Product list

The product list analysis allows you to create a ranking list of crop and product groups from your own data and the auction’s data. This section explains how to create such a list.

Step1: Go to Analysis in the menu, then click on ‘run analysis’ under product list.Step2: Select the tab ‘auction’ or ‘grower’ to analyse either the auction’s or your own products.Step3: Under ‘selection criteria’ enter the search level, product code and period for which you want to create a list. You can also search for the product/crop group by clicking on the binoculars.Step4: Click on ‘show results’. The analysis will be run.

9.2 List of characteristics

The list of characteristics allows you to create a ranking list based on a selected characteristic. You could, for example, create a list on a particular grading characteristic, packaging, colour or customer. This is always done on the basis of a product or product group. This section explains how to create such a list.

Step1: Go to Analysis in the menu, then click on ‘run analysis’ under list of characteristics.Step2: Select the tab ‘auction’ or ‘customer’ to analyse either the auction’s or your own products.Step3: Under ‘selection criteria’ enter the search level, product code and period for which you want to create a list. You can also search for the product group code by clicking on the binoculars.Step4: Click on ‘show results’. The analysis will be run.

The compare products analysis lets you put up to three products side by side within a certain period. You can compare productsonthebasisofprofit,numberofitemssoldoraverageprice.

9 5 Product sales trends per day

Product sales trends per day gives you an analysis of one or more products for a certain date (for example, a national holiday).Bychoosingaspecificreferencedate,youcancreateananalysisofwhathappenedintheweeksbefore.Aproduct’ssalestrendcanbebasedonprofit,numberofunitssoldoraverageprice.

Step1: Go to Analysis in the menu, then click on ‘run analysis’ under product sales movement per day. Step2: Select the tab ‘auction’ or ‘customer’ to analyse either the auction’s or your own products.Step3: Under ‘selection criteria’, enter next to product code the product you want to analyse. You can also search by clicking on the binoculars. Step4: Select the reference date and how many weeks before this date you want to analyse. You can also select a certain festive day/national holiday.Step5: Click on ‘show results’. The analysis will be run.

Inthisexample,theRosaLarge-floweredGrandPrix(12157)andRosaLarge-floweredRedNaomi(27157)wereanalysedforfour weeks leading up to 17-02-2012.
