Objective of Study:
Does situation audit now Provides short term planning Gets journey banding of during fore part Provides long-range planning Budgets boarding with all project planned Provides planning executing Provides boarding with stream project Proposes a suitable mode of transport, standard
of service, routes, physical developments and required policies.
Introduction
We will try to discuss the following:
• project review•Urban transportation study•Urban Public transportation•Solutions of urban transportation problems
The Locations of Study Area
Bangi
Kajang
Nilai3Bandar Seri Putra
putrajaya
Kajang, is a city in the eastern part of Selangor, Malaysia. Kajang is the district capital of Hulu Langat. It is located 21 kilometers (13 mile) from of Malaysia's capital, Kuala Lumpur.
Kajang, Malaysia
Main problems in kajang
No parking spaces for passengers car No seats for waiting the buses Narrow road and variable width from the main
intersection Surrounding area of Kajang Rail Station is
nearby the residential area The location of taxi and bus terminal and rail
station is not strategic because it is located in the middle of town and makes traffic congested.
Bangi, Malaysia
Bangi is a small town situated on the south of the district of Hulu Langat, in Selangor, Malaysia. It is roughly situated between the towns of Kajang (9 kilometers away) and Putrajaya (formerly Prang Besar) (also 9 kilometers away)
Main problems in Bangi
public transportation still not cover all bangi areas There is no central station in bandar baru bangi and bus services
shared with kajang in hentian kajang station. The distance between each bus stop is around 300 meter.. Busses in
Bandar Baru Bangi are Rapid KL, Mini bus and (UKM) buses. many of the taxi drivers concentrated to get their passengers at
shopping complex likes Warta and around the bus stop near Seksyen Parking spaces is too limited for public. No lighting at night. This condition encourages crime to be
happened
Putrajaya, Malaysia
Is a planned city, located south of Kuala Lumpur, that serves as the federal administrative centre of Malaysia. The seat of government was shifted in 1999 from Kuala Lumpur due to the over crowding and congestion
Various modes of public transport are available in Putrajaya such as bus, taxi and ERL.Terminal Bas and Taxi station is located in Precinct 1, Putrajaya. there are taxi services and Putrajaya Bus services called Nadi Putra.
Putrajaya project now (Monorail Suspension Bridge)
It was built to link several important landmarks in the Putrajaya area like the Putrajaya Convention Centre, Putra Mosque and the Government Administrative Complex in Parcel E. The bridge's main span has a length of approximately 240m and width of 10m. It is owned by Putrajaya Holding Sdn. Bhd. and was designed by PJS International Sdn. Bhd.
The elevated track was 90% complete when the project stalled in 2004 because the Government had not approved further funding.
Nilai 3, Malaysia
NILAI3 lies approximately 75km south of Kuala Lumpur via the North South Expressway in the state of Negri Sembilan. Nilai 3 Wholesale Centre is certified as Malaysia's Largest Wholesale Centre in the Malaysian Book of Records. As part of the Nilai 3 Wholesale Centre, its location is no secret
Main problems in Nilai3
Parking is not a problem but if you are thinking of purchasing large items, such as garden furniture sets, you may have to talk to the sellers to see if transportation is included in the price.
On weekends, parking space may be a little difficult to find near to the shops but you can always park a short distance away and walk.
it still have some free lands to be developed in future.
Bandar Seri Putra, Malaysia
Bandar Seri Putra (formerly Bandar Putra Mahkota) is known to many as the Seri Putra is a new township in Hulu Langat district,Selangor Darul Ehsan, Malaysia. Accessible via a dedicated Putra Mahkota Interchange EXIT 213 off the North-South Expressway Southern Route . This township is about 23.3 km (30 minutes drive) from Kuala Lumpur and 35 km from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Main problems in Bandar Seri Putra
Limit in transport facilities Wide range of area without any service Limitation in public transportation
THE STUDY METHODOLOGY
The overall procedure adopted is shown in Figure and the initial step involves evaluation of existing data and plans
according to The trip distribution is an estimation of trip distribution from the origin to others destination. This model will create a matrix origin-destination trips which is included in this study area .The production and attraction between each zone are calculated by multiply the current population with rate of expected growth.
The future year trip matrices were developed using population and employment growth factors for each zone derived from data on land use changes. Such data was taken from Structure Plan and Local Plan information supplied by the local planning authorities. The data related to changes in population, employment and commercial activity, together with the likely change in car ownership levels.

PROPOSAL FOR PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT ANDPOLICY CHANGES
To create an efficient and equitable city structure for Kajang, Bangi, Bandar Seri Putra, PUTRAJAYA , Nilai 3 and, The government should aim to:
Study the light rail subway system in Japan The Tokyo subway is an integral part of the world's most extensive rapid
transit system in a single metropolitan area, Greater Tokyo. While the subway system itself is largely within the city center, the lines extend far out via extensive through services onto suburban railway lines.
h
Note, that at their terminal stations, the trains of some subway lines continue to operate on the tracks of different companies on suburban train lines. For example, the Chiyoda Subway Line is directly connected with the suburban Odakyu Line at Yoyogi-Uehara Station,. The subways are the only way to travel. It's a fantastic way to see people and cross the city rapidly at a relatively low cost. Of course as you're riding the subway here, it's important to keep in mind the New York subway
Conclusion Priority of maintenance over expansion of transport infrastructure; existing
capacities to be used more effectively!
Desirable extensions of infrastructure require proof of profitability and reliable demand forecasts
Organisation and management of traffic and other „soft“ measures to dominate the design of transport infrastructure
Substantial efforts have to be made to maintain and increase demand for public transport: increased flexibility, speeding-up, transparency.
Increase promotion of bicycle use
The private car will remain indispensable, however, necessity and feasability are key issues of dealing with cars in a city
More attention to be given to the causes of increasing transport demand through spatial development; regulatory policies
