INTRODUCTION
With India touted to be one of the leading candidates to become the next super power by the pundits, there
has never been more need for young leaders. Youth represents the Modern India, young mind-sets, young
visions and new perceptions. There is a great burst in the youth to be more effective and involved in social
issues.
Here is where the Indian International Model United Nations (IIMUN) comes in. Where we create platforms
to bring the youth forward by providing the youth with a responsible medium to put forth their ideas. Model
United Nations or MUN is an academic simulation of the United Nations where students don the hats of
diplomats and try to solve global issues. At IIMUN we encourage students to discuss national and local
issues apart from the international issues. We strongly believe in the cultural heritage of the country and
look forward to showcasing it on an international scale. Our conferences last for 3 days wherein on one of
the days we have all attendee’s in Indian traditional clothing. Inauguration ceremonies of all our conferences
comprise of cultural performances giving the youth a platform to showcase their talent and be proud of their
culture. Apart from metro cities and educational hubs IIMUN strongly believes in going to various other
cities such as Kohima, Saharanpur, Srinagar, Jammu, Panaji, Madurai, Bilaspur, Bareli to name a few.
IIMUN provides this platform for the youth to voice their opinions by forwarding their drafted resolutions to
the United Nations. Students represent different member counriees of the U.N. and discuss various
international issues. It is also the first MUN in Asia to have its own Rules of Procedure and the third
organisation in the world to have its own Rules of Procedure. The Rules of Procedure has also been drafted
to accommodate ‘Hindi’ as an official language globally.
IIMUN was incepted in 2012, by the youth & for the youth and creates this required system that acts as a
pedestal to launch the interests of today’s young minds.
Mission – To teach every young student in the world between the age group of 13-19 about local, national &
international affairs and also teach them about Indian culture, traditions and values.

MESSAGE FROM THE FOUNDER & PRESIDENT
Dear Readers,
The 21st Century belongs to global citizens who are
holistically developed and not just academically bent.
It is an era where peace and tranquillity are two
quintessential cornerstones for universal
collaboration and success. However, the defining
element for a successful transition from the century
fraught with wars to one of world-wide harmony will
be the “perception” that the young people have
toward the problems they face especially the ones
that carry the baggage of the past.
5 years ago, when I had started this organisation, the
idea was simple – to bridge the gap between people
having different mind-sets. To that end, under the
parent company – Aufklaren we started the Indian
International Model United Nations, (IIMUN) a tool
which equips school students to grasp the gremlins of the local, national and international ecosystem of
which they will be leaders in their own capacities. Today, we have under our own banner (IIMUN) – 108
conferences in as many cities across the globe with over 3200 committees being simulated and a total of
200,000 students who have directly participated in them. We have been blessed in the last few years to have
received constant support of all stakeholders – schools, management, academicians, parents and most
importantly the students. I look forward to receiving your continued cooperation as we endeavour to shape
the perceptions of tomorrow’s leaders, today.
Warm Regards,
Rishabh Shah
Founder and President
Indian International MUN
2012-2013 (August-August)
IIMUN was incepted in the year 2012 by a group of college friends led by Mr. Rishabh Shah. It took the
team six months to organise the first ever IIMUN Conference in Mumbai at the extravagant World Trade
Centre. The team travelled
across the state and country
to different institutions to
talk to students and
faculties about the concept
and platform that they were
committed to bringing to
the youth.
Thousands of miles
travelled & hundreds of
orientations later, the debut
chapter of IIMUN went on
to become “India’s Largest
Youth Conference” having
over a 1000 delegates from
different parts of the state
and country.
Apart from the large
number of students present,
the conference was also graced by the presence of luminaries such as Mr. Prithviraj Chauhan, Mr. Shiamak
Dawar, Mr. Subhash Ghai and many more.
After the implementation of the record setting conference, the IIMUN team went on to become the only

2013-2014 (August – August)
Towards the end of 2012, word
spread about the magnitude and
success of the conference and the
organisation started receiving
invitations to host conferences in
various other cities across the

concept of “Chapters.” These
Chapter conferences took place in
popular educational hubs of the
country. 10 cities were reached
by the team including Pune,
Hyderabad, Surat, and Chennai to
name a few.
At the end of our calendar which

exponential 300% YoY. Apart
from the popular metro cities in the
tier 2 and tier 3 sectors as well.
Once again as per our traditions we
had our Championship Conference

forward with a ‘Residential

Conventional Centre on the coasts
of Mumbai. IIMUN 2014 was the

other than the Chief of Education Outreach of the United Nations, Ms. Nathalie Leroy.

organisation continued the strong
growth trajectory of 300%. This
year’s cycle we aim at reaching

August 2016. The objective of the
organisation moved towards
providing this platform to students
in every nook and cranny of the
country and globe. Conferences
taking place in cities such as
Aizawl, Srinagar and Nagaland
help mobilize the youth of the
country and educate them to be the
future leaders of the country. The
organisation strongly believes in
creating the leaders of tomorrow,
today.
Apart from the massive outreach in
chapters, this time our traditional
Championship Conference took
place at the Aamby Valley City,
Maharashtra. It was the first time
that a conference had an entire city
