Normative Social Influence

The normative social influence involves conforming in order to be accepted or liked by a group. There is a fundamental human need to belong to social groups.

Evolution has taught us that survival and prosperity is more likely if we live and work together.

However, to live together, we need to agree on common beliefs, values, attitudes and behaviors that reduce in‐group threats for the common good.

Why not start now?

Send a short email or text praising someone you know.

If you can’t send it now – write it down and send it later!

10 Happiness Myths

The pursuit of happiness

Focusing on your happiness is selfish

Happy people are annoying

You’re born happy

Happiness is the absence of negative emotions

Happiness has a set point

Venting makes  you feel better

You’ll be happy as soon as you…

Avoid pessimists

I wouldn’t be happy if…

REMEMBER!

On those days when everything just seems to be going wrong…sometimes you just need to throw on the superhero outfit.

And just let the tail wag to the dog.
