The United Kingdom officially called United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is a sovereign and insular, member country of the European Union, located to the Northwest of Continental Europe. Its territory is geographically formed by the island of Great Britain, the northeast of the island of Ireland and adjacent islands.

The United Kingdom is a unitary State, comprised of four constituent countries: England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales

It is governed by a parliamentary system with seat of Government and capital in London, but with three national decentralized administrations in Edinburgh, Cardiff and Belfast, the capital of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively.

It is a parliamentary monarchy Isabel II being the head of State.

The British monarch is also head of State of fifteen other countries, each of which were once part of the British Empire, these, together with the United Kingdom, they are known as the realms of the British Commonwealth of Nations.

The King of England, Enrique VIII, Pope Clement VIII, the annulment of the marriage with his wife, Catherine of Aragon, requested to marry Ana Bolena. The Pope refused, faithful to the mandate of Christ: "what God has joined, not what separate man"

The King, in his purpose of divorce, in the year 1534 forced the separation of the Church in England of communion with Rome. Declared himself as sole and Supreme Head of the English church.

The City is the most important district of London. Is the Britain’s financial centre, and the venue of the England’sBank. In this discrtic there are many skyscraper because, there, work a lot of people.

The workers of The City are, usually, very serious and they only stop working to have lunch, and they don’t spendlong time, because they live for work, their Jobs are very important.

In The City, many students and scientists are researching for a lot of differents medicinal and tecnological and doing a lot of experiments.

In 1973, joined United Kingdom, Ireland and Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands excluded) in the EU.
