Electricity is all around us

What is electricity?

Atoms are made up of a nucleus and electrons.

The nucleus contains protons and neutrons.

Protons have a positive electric charge.

Neutrons have no charge.

Electrons have a negative electric charge.

Do you know…

Normally, objects are neutral. This means they have the same number of positive charges as negative charges.

If an object has more positive charge than negative, we say it is positively charged.
