What is a proposal?!?

What is a proposal?

Remember

• A proposal is a formal type of writing

• Audience is usually a business, or someone in control of something

• The purpose of a proposal to suggest some form of action – what do you want your audience to do?

Before you write

• BE PREPARED – DO YOUR RESEARCH!• Have a clear understanding of your OWN

goals and objectives• Know your audience• Keep track of all of your research/prep work• Make a personal connection with your

audience

• Your proposal should have several steps that must be taken to solve the problem.

• So, each body paragraph should go into detail about a different issue and how your proposal will resolve each issue

Final Paragraph

• This paragraph should reiterate (say again, but in different words) why the proposal will help solve the problem.

• Give contact information so your audience can get in touch with you

• Do NOT sign it
