Fall 2012

Welcome to the tutorial on Searching the University Library Catalog to locate E-Books. On the Library homepage, select “Library Catalog” located under “Research Tools.”

Under “Guided Searches” click on the “Under “Guided Searches” click on the “Advanced Advanced SearchSearch” link.” link.

Next, select “E-Books” located under “Material Type.”

Then, type in your keywords and click the “Submit” button. For the purpose of this tutorial, I typed in the keywords “public administration.”

The results yielded 573 E-Books. You will know that it is an E-Book because of the book icon and letter “e” on the book image located to the left of the title.

You can access an E-Book by clicking on the hyper-texted word “Website.”

If you clicked on the title of the E-Book, you can access it by clicking on the hyper-texted wording “An electronic book...” You will need to put in your username and password.

Thank you for using this tutorial. If you need any further assistance, please contact one of the reference librarians or the circulation desk.

For more information, please click on the hyper-texted link below:http://www.regent.edu/lib/research/e-books.cfm
