I WONDER WHAT YOU ARE?

too brilliant to ignore, by far

The Venus and Jupiter Parade

• Venus and Jupiter very eye-catching when both are “near” the Moon (20th June)

• Many photos, many locations, many thanks! this trio looks the same from each, but latitude causes different orientations.

• Jupiter harder to see (and photograph); it is about 10X further than Venus. In most slides, it was visible, on the 22 inch LG monitor while editing.

• The Venus-Jupiter line is part of “The Ecliptic”

DubaiThe dots are Venus (lower) and Jupiter. Here, nothing else is bright enough to

push its light through the haze

Internet for Longitude

• for LONGITUDE differences– (not so easy but not impossible!)

– The Moon speed• Moon is fast (1km per sec)

which means 13° in 24 hours

– Note hours between photos

– Get a simple telescope • Measure angle change

between the two locations
