Some bad stats for women in law… • For roughly 30 years, 50% of law school

graduates have been women, yet only 18% of law firm equity partners & 24% of general counsel are women.

• Despite the equal graduation rate between genders for three decades, 65% of actively practicing lawyers in the U.S. are men, and 35% are women.

Some bad stats for women in law… • Only 27.1% of all judges in the U.S. are

women, with 72.9% being men (approximately 33% of federal court judges are women, and approximately 22% of state court judges are women).

• Across the U.S., the compensation of full-time, salaried women lawyers is 77.6% of their male counterparts.

• A 2018 study found there is a 53% pay gap between female partners and male partners in BigLaw.

• Specifically, partners earned an average of: $627,000 female partners

$959,000 male partners
