By Car continued...Turn right at roundabout and travel downGreenford Road, then turn left onto theUxbridge Road.Access from the M25 travelling from the southExit 15 to M4 - drive towards London. At exit 3 take the A312 Hayes by-passtravelling north, follow signs to Southall/Ealing A4020 Uxbridge Road. Continue onthis road through Southall to the hospitals.
Car parking at Ealing Hospital:A 24-hour visitor pay and display car parkis provided at the front of the hospital onthe Uxbridge Road. The charge is £3.50 forup to four hours. A weekly pay and displaypermit can be purchased for £24.00. A fewextra spaces are also available outside theentrance to the maternity unit.A separate chargeable staff car parking system is in operation. Employees should speakto their manager or relevant hospital contactabout this staff parking permit system.Any vehicle not displaying a valid pay anddisplay ticket or a staff parking permitwill be subject to enforcement action(currently clamping with a release fee of£50 or parking tickets).Free parking spaces for registered disableddrivers are situated by the main entrance.
Car parking at St Bernard’s Hospital:18 disabled spaces, 64 pay and displayplaces and 8 dedicated motorcycle spacesare available on the St Bernard’s site forvisitors. Three 24-hour visitor pay and display carparks are provided across the St Bernard’ssite, located at the Orchard, Tony HillisWing and John Connolly Wing. Thecharge is £3.00 for up to four hours. By BusBus routes 83, 92 and 282 all enter thegrounds of Ealing Hospital next to St Bernard’s Hospital. Bus routes 195, 207/N207, 427 and 607 allstop a short walk away from the hospitalson the Uxbridge Road.All buses are low-floor vehicles, enabling allcustomers to get on and off easily.

is located in Church Road, approximatelya mile walk from the sites with servicesout of Paddington, Southall and Hayes &Harlington stations.
2. Southall (main line) station is a 2 milewalk. Bus number 195 runs from outsidethe station to the hospital sites on theUxbridge Road.
By CarParking controls operate on separate systems at each Trust site (see below) withlimited space across both sites. We thereforeadvise our patients and visitors to arrive by public transport, where possible. It is advisable to allow extra time to park beforean appointment or meeting. Take a look at lifeshare where you can register for FREE and add your journey details and find someone to car-share with.Travel from central London A40 Westway until sign to Greenford(A4127). Turn left down Greenford Road toUxbridge Road.Access from the M25 travelling from the northExit 16 to M40/A40 Western Avenue -drive towards London. Take the Greenfordexit (A4127).
By BikeThere are various cycle routes runningthrough and near the hospitals. These includethe Uxbridge Road which has some desig-nated cycle lanes marked, and the GrandUnion Canal which runs from Brentford toSouthall and then to Hayes and beyond.
The site lies between two proposed BarclaysCycle Superhighways that will serve theA40 (Park Royal to Hyde Park) and A4(Hounslow to Hyde Park). These routes willbe introduced by 2015, subject to consultation. Barclays Cycle Superhighwaysare new cycle lanes between central andouter London. They will provide cyclists withsafer, faster and more direct journeys intothe city. A number of secure, covered bike racks and facilities are available across the sites asfollows:
• Ealing - 101 bike racks near the mainhospital entrance. Dedicated male andfemale showers and lockers are availablewith access via a swipe card.
• St Bernard’s - 91 bike racks across thesite including near main buildings. Showers are available in the gym outsideof patient use hours.
Both Trusts reimburse employees who cycle on Trust business and operate a staffcycle to work scheme. The scheme allowsemployees to buy a bicycle and safetyequipment through a salary sacrificearrangement.
On FootThe walking environment around the hospitals is generally very pleasant. Mostroadside footpaths are paved to a goodstandard. The Grand Union Canal and BrentRiver walk/park provide a green corridoroption.
Remember to stay safe while walking andtravel in a group when appropriate.
