Though, Although, Even though and In spite of
If we are asked to join two sentences using above, then we should write them before the position and status.
Eg. He is poor. He is honest.
Though he is poor, he is honest.
Although he is poor, he is honest.
Even though he is poor, he is honest.

But when we rewrite the above sentence using “in spite of” we can write in two ways:
In spite of being poor, he is honest. In spite of his poverty, he is honest. That is either we can write “In spite of + being” or “in spite +
noun form of the adjective”.1. Ravi killed a man. He was not arrested.
In spite of Ravi’s killing a man, he was not arrested.
In spite of Ravi having killed a man, he was not arrested.
2. He is involved in a case. The court acquitted him.
In spite of his involvement in a case, the court acquitted him.
in spite of being involved in a case, the court acquitted him.
