Key Features

• Lettering and Combining

Use Windows true type fonts for lettering and resize

them from 6 to 60 mm (0.24’’ to 2.36’’). Then combine

your letters with any design.

• Monogramming

Color, scale, rotate or mirror designs and combine

them with initials to create a personal monogram.

• Appliqué Designs

With the CutWork tool, you can easily cut out a

shape, which can then be stitched into the appliqué

design.

• Hoops and Slow Redraw

Use the predefined bernette hoops or design your

own. Preview the stitching sequence with the «slow

redraw» function.

• Fill Stitch

The larger the letters are, the greater the detail

possibilities by using of one of thirty fill stitches.

«Auto Underlay» defines the underlay stitch.

• Save Format

Edit the embroidery designs in ART70 format and

transfer to the embroidery machine in EXP format.

• A Russian manual (PDF) is

stored on the installation CD

2. Use Interface

2. Calibrate Screen

• The screen should be calibrated first, so that the embroidery designs

appear on the screen in the correct size (1:1).

3. Customize Fonts

• For lettering you can use many

alphabets like Latin, Cyrillic etc.

• The best stitch results are obtained

with TTF fonts, when using fonts

without serifs like Arial, Courier New,

Segoe UI.

• When the lettering is completed, it must

be confirmed by the «Enter key».

3. Customize Fonts

• Besides TTF (true type fonts), OTF (open type fonts) can be imported

into Customizer. Both are scalable Windows fonts and are not to be

compared with truly digitized fonts.

• All installed fonts are either visible under the path «Control Panel

Appearance and Personalization Fonts» or in the folder

«C:\Windows\Fonts».

• Advanced users can download and install additional fonts. See:

• Any common Microsoft fonts and

alphabets are available

• Max. font size from 6 to 60 mm

• Lettering can be created circular or

italic

• 1 satin stitch and 1 step stitch in 30

different filling patterns

• 1 alphabet provided

• Max. font size from 7 to 11 mm

(80% -120%)

• Only linear lettering possible

4. Use Fill Stitches

• The bigger the font and the wider the letter,

the better the fill pattern comes into play.

• Underlay stitches are automatically set, but can also be changed

manually afterwards.

• Thereby the fabric pull is reduced.

1. Artistic and needle points view show the effects of the

setting underlay and fill stitch.

2. They show whether the letters or embroidery designs

will be embroidered too dense or too loose.

3. If the embroidery designs are greatly enlarged or

reduced, the distances of the needle points illustrate

the embroidery result in advance.

5. Create Monograms

• With frames, embroidery designs and letters multiple types of

monograms can be created.

• The fonts are grouped. If you like to edit the letters individually, you

must insert them as individual objects.

6. Combine Objects

• Fonts, designs, appliqués or

frames can be combined.

• Objects are added with the

«Insert Embroidery» button.

6. Combine Objects – change colour

• Change the colour of the

threads as you like.

Select your favourite thread colour with

double-clicking on the column.

To do this select the bobbin

symbol on the bottom right.

7. Embroider Projects - Thread tension and stitch spacing

Satin stich

Tip: Loose the Chicago 7

thread tension (±Level 2) to

optimally embroider the satin

stitch.

Stitch spacing

Tip: Depending on the font size vary

the stitch spacing.

8. Save and Export Embroidery Designs

Save designs in the Art70 format in order to retain the object properties

and in EXP format to transfer it to the embroidery machine.

Other formats can also be read, saved and embroidered.

Model Deco 340:

The design must be

saved in a new folder

named EmbF5.

• The designs are transferred from the PC to the machine using an USB

2 stick with a maximum capacity of 32 GB.

• The embroidery design file name can not exceed 17 characters in

length and contains the following characters:
