Material: Text Descriptive about Flawless Make-Up Styles

Social Function: To describe about kinds of make-up styles

Step of Activities
1. Teacher starts the class with greeting and then brainstorming session;
2. Introduction the topic and the aim of the lesson such as what are the make-up tools
needed and tell them about the descriptive text.
3. Explain the function of the tools and the kinds of make- up styles through showing them
a make-up timeline;
4. Teacher gives explanation about make-up styles and the differences of each make-up;
5. After that, teacher gives worksheet and asks them to write down what is a kind of make-
up style that they prefer to choose. They are allowed to choose 2 items. For instance
“Please, choose freely 2 items of make-up style that you love, You want to choose natural
make-up and prom make up, it is okay!”
6. After choosing 2 story about make-up styles, students are given worksheet again and then
they are asked to compare both of make-up styles and mention the characteristics that
make them different.
7. The next activity is practicing in the class.
8. In practicing session, teacher will give example firstly. Teacher chooses 2 students who
have different characteristic of their face. For instance, teacher chooses students who
have oval face and students who have slanted eyes;
9. After that, teacher makes over those students with giving explanation step by step do it
10. Then, teacher asks students in pair to make over each other and ask them present the
result
11. While presenting the result, student needs to give explanation what is kind of make-up
styles that they choose in make- over their friend. Whether they apply prom make up
style or natural make up style;
12. After that, students need to write down their reason why they choose the make-up style
while practicing it into paragraph and describe in details.
13. The last session is, teacher gives feedback and reviewing about the material that they
have gotten today.
14. For homework, teacher asks students create timeline to upload their descriptive text and
attach the results of picture while practicing make over their friend in class.
