The Central Board ofSecondary Education (CBSE)

has warned the public aboutfraudsters posing as its offi-cers and asking people todeposit money in bank

accounts.It has issued a notice asking

the public not to fall prey tosuch traps.

The CBSE said recently,instances have come to itsnotice where “some unscru-

plous callers/cheaters”, posingas CBSE officers, asked peo-ple and students to depositmoney in bank accounts“promising to facilitate themin CBSE”.

“These fake callers make

calls from different mobilenumbers,” the CBSE noticesaid.

Senior officials said that insome cases, the board broughtthe matter to the notice of policeofficials concerned. (PTI)
