Raiding Raptor
On Monday morning after playtime Mrs Hashmi came into
class Canada with a small box. It had a stamp of Canada on it
and was labelled ‘Live Animals’. Class Canada thought it was
sent because they were learning about dinosaurs. A purple,
green and blue egg was in the box.
On Tuesday the egg had gone missing and the whole class was
a mess. They found marks on the tables and ripped up tissue
on the side. Simrah, Amelia, Zoyah and Imani (students in
Canada) went to the deputy’s class with the empty box. ‘I’m
worried and scared and hope it’s found’ said Mrs Crowther
In class they checked the cameras and the egg had hatched
into a raptor, jumping on the tables.
The school is worried and the rapter is on the loose.
If any strange animals are found please tell Mrs Hussain and
call 01422 345004. Keep all pets indoors and close the win-
dow and lock your door!

School Lunch Patterns
Can parents decide and stick to a
lunch pattern for a half termly block. We are
unable to accommodate changes to these
patterns on a daily basis.
If you decide to take your child home for lunch
they must return promptly.
Beech Hill’s Got Talent is back!
Over the last couple of weeks children across the school have been
auditioning for this year’s talent show. On Monday, successful acts per-
formed in front of the whole school and the four returning judges for the
‘Judges’ Houses’ stage of the contest
We would like to say congratulations and well done to all acts that per-
formed. The courage and passion they displayed was truly inspirational.
The judges each have four acts that they will mentor ready for the
grand final on Thursday 24th March. If your child is
performing in the final then you will be invited to watch via a video link.
Head Lice
Please can you ensure that you check your child for head lice as part of their bath time routine.
If you suspect your child has head lice and need
advice on how to treat it, just ask at the school
office. It is important that they are treated as quickly as possible to avoid upset and
discomfort to your child.
Coffee morning every Friday
8.45-10.00. Come and enjoy
the company plus tea,
coffee, fruit and biscuits.
Everyone welcome.

Hi, I am Mrs Bowling and I joined Beech Hill School in 2010.
I am one of the school’s Middle Managers, part of the lower Key Stage 2 team and the teacher for Canada class in year 3. As well as being a class teacher my other role in school is the SENCO which stands for the Special Education Needs Co-ordinator. As the SENCO, I hold a National award in Special Educational Needs Coordination in line with Government guidelines.
My responsibilities include, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school’s Special Educational Needs (SEN) policy, line managing the support assistants who support children on a one-to-one basis and our in-house Speech and Language Therapist, supporting the identification of children with special educational needs, co-ordinating provision for children with SEN, supporting class teachers in all areas of SEN, liaising with parents and teachers of children with SEN, liaising with other providers, outside agencies, educational psychologists and external agencies and ensuring that the school keeps the records of all pupils with SEN up to date.
Each week we will be introducing you to
one our fantastic ‘Middle Leaders.’
ATTENDANCE
Firstly I would like to thank all the parents/carers who
support their child’s learning by making sure they are
attending school regularly, particularly on Friday, despite
the weather conditions. A huge well done to you all!
You will see from the table that our reception class
(USA5) achieved the highest attendance overall. The
class teacher, Mrs King was delighted with this
result. Mexico class had the lowest overall attendance
last week. To ensure they catch up , all pupils must
attend school every day. Whilst we do understand that
children will be ill, we have to encourage our children to
attend school regularly. This will ensure each child
reaches his/her true potential.
Thank you for your continued support.
