• Learning Objective: Given an animal species, the student will be able to list if the animal species is thriving, threatened, endangered, or extinct with 90% accuracy.

• Accomplishment: 0307.5.7 Use a data chart or informational text to classify organisms as thriving, threatened, endangered, or extinct.

What does this mean?Animals are classified as one of these 4 categories.

-Thriving- Animal species that have high population numbers.

-Threatened- Animal species whose population numbers have decreased and are at risk of becoming endangered.-Endangered- Animal species in danger of extinction.

Species have low numbers.-Extinct- Animal species no longer exist.
