WELCOME TO FIRST BENTONThank you for worshiping with us at First Benton! If you are a first time guest, please stop by the HomePointe Center in the Worship Center lobby before you leave. We have a gift for you and some helpful information about our church. Also, we would love to connect with you later in the week and ask that you fill out a Connection Card located in the pew rack. Simply drop the card in the offering plate during the service or take it to the HomePointe Center in the lobby when you pick up your gift.

Jesus is the Way to LifeJohn 14:6
When Jesus died on the cross, His disciples found themselves shocked and unsure about the future. They had hoped that Jesus would establish His Kingdom and redeem
Israel from the heavy boot of Roman rule, but their hopes were shattered with His crucifixion. However, everything changed the day of Christ’s resurrection. This morning, we’ll consider why Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation
and what that can mean for you.
I. Why do you need salvation?
1. You have the _______________________________________. “ … for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
2. You have the _______________________________________. “… it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.” Hebrews 9:27
II. Why is Christ’s resurrection so important to salvation?
1. It gives ___________________________________________. “... Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father…” John 14:9
2. It gives ___________________________________________. “The Son of Man is going to be betrayed into the hands of men. They will kill Him, and after three days He will rise.” Mark 9:31
a. You can live your ____________________________________. “… I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly.” John 10:10
b. You can face your ___________________________________. “Do not let your hearts be troubled… if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me…” John 14:1-4
III. How does it start?
1. You _____________________________________________. “… your iniquities have separated you from your God…” Isaiah 59:2
2. You _____________________________________________. “Yet to all who received Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 & Ephesians 2:8-9
