Hello KS1. Best wishes to you all.
Welcome back to another week of fun learning activities. We are really proud of how hard you have
been working on your set tasks and we always enjoy reading your submitted work. We all miss our
classes very much and look forward to the day we can be in school together again.
This week is the last week of term five with next week being the end of term holiday. We won’t be
setting any tasks for the holiday week, however, you can always log into Mathletics and Purple Mash

Suggested Activity How to complete
Monday 18th May
Year 1
Today we are going to take another look at the virtual tour of ‘The Natural History Museum’. This museum is famous for its dinosaur collection. Whilst exploring think about these questions: Where is the museum? How do you get there? What dinosaurs can you spot? How is the museum laid out? What is there to help you learn? What do you like about it?
Explore the museum and it’s website: https://www.nhm.ac.uk/visit/virtual-museum.html Then on purple mash type up some notes about the museum and its’ display. You could use bullet points or write sentences. This will help you to think about ideas for your own dinosaur museum later this week.
Monday 19th May

to include? Don’t forget the title, sub-headings, where it is, some of your exhibits (dinosaurs) and other important information.
Year 2

Religious Education
Year One
Can you remember what we learnt about last week? We are thinking about Shabbat again – can you
remember why this day is important to Jewish people?
As part of the Shabbat celebrations a special blessing is said it is called Shabbat Aleichem and it goes
like this:-
May God bless you and guard you. May the light of God shine upon you, and may God be gracious to
you. May the presence of God be with you and give you peace.
These words are meant to help people feel special - if you could write a message to someone else to
make them feel special, what would you write? Now go to Purple Mash and complete the work set
for you in the 2do list – write some special words to someone else to make them feel loved and
cared for.
Watch the following clip to help you remember Shabbat:-

Year Two
This week we are going to be thinking about how important words are for Muslim people. For
Muslims their most important book is called the Qu’ran . Watch the following clips to find out about
this special book:-
https://youtu.be/nw6mibx-cec
www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/zpdtsbk/articles/zrxxgwx
There are 99 names that describe what Allah is like and all Muslims are called to try and remember
them all. We are going to look at the first ten, so don’t worry I won’t ask you to remember all of
them!! Watch the following clip and then see if you can complete the work on purple mash:-
https://youtu.be/gMdHYCeXWjc
Now can you write some words that describe what is important to you and how you should live.
