BLACK HAT THINKING IS SPECIFICALLY CONCERNED WITH NEGATIVE ASSESSMENT • A person who has their mind on things that are of bad news

or are negative and looks on the bad side of things rather than the good.

THE BLACK HAT THINKER POINTS OUT WHAT IS WRONG, INCORRECT, AND IN ERROR

• A black hat thinker points out the wrong and judges the incorrect instead of or before the correct or good in things.

THE BLACK HAT THINKER POINTS OUT HOW SOMETHING DOES NOT FIT EXPERIENCE OR ACCEPTED

KNOWLEDGE

• Maybe the black hat would be the person to tell someone “You can’t do a thing as that. You don’t have any experience. You will hurt yourself.”

THE BLACK HAT THINKER POINTS OUT WHY SOMETHING WILL NOT WORK

• A thinker as this will say why something WON’T work instead of how something CAN work.

THE BLACK HAT THINKER POINTS OUT RISKS AND DANGERS

• The black hat thinker tells the worst in things. like “You don’t want to go camping, a bear could eat you.”

THE BLACK HAT THINKER POINTS OUT FAULTS IN A DESIGN

IT IS AN OBJECTIVE ATTEMPT TO PUT THE NEGATIVE ELEMENTS ONTO THE MAP

• It may seem that the black hat is personally negative, but that’s not the major function of the black hat. We need warnings sometimes.

BLACK HAT THINKING IS NOT ARGUMENT AND SHOULD NEVER BE SEEN AS SUCH

• Black hat thinking is not arguing or in disagreement. Black hat is getting you to see things you might not have noticed or wanted to notice.

BLACK HAT THINKING MAY POINT OUT THE ERRORS IN THE THINKING PROCEDURE AND METHOD ITSELF

• I think it means like when someone gives you a method on how to do something they try to warn you about something that might not work.

BLACK HAT THINKING MAY JUDGE AN IDEA AGAINST THE PAST TO SEE HOW WELL IT FITS WHAT IS KNOWN

• Sometimes the past is important; sometimes it should be locked away.

BLACK HAT THINKING MAY PROJECT AN IDEA INTO THE FUTURE TO SEE WHAT MIGHT FAIL OR GO WRONG

• Someone like a bad scientist on cartoons where they mix up the little liquids and things to find out if this works what it could do to earth and different things.

BLACK HAT THINKING CAN ASK “NEGATIVE QUESTIONS”

(He’s saying “I will use Google before asking dumb questions”)

BLACK HAT THINKING SHOULD NOT BE USED TO COVER NEGATIVE INDULGENCE OR NEGATIVE FEELINGS WHICH SHOULD

MAKE USE OF THE RED HAT

• To make a person feel bad

POSITIVE ASSESSMENT IS LEFT FOR THE YELLOW HAT.

• Yellow hat is obviously the total opposite to the black hat

• The pictures shows the yellow and black hat are about to fight

IN THE CASE OF NEW IDEAS THE YELLOW HAT SHOULD ALWAYS BE USED BEFORE THE BLACK HAT

•The good and correct or compliments about a thing should be mentioned

before anything according to the black hat.

It would be good to try and stay distant from “Black Hats”…
