(a) Scottish battalions and Irish battalions (except the Royal Ulster Rifles) will be allowed 1 serjeant piper and 5 pipers in addition. A battalion of Foot Guards will be
allowed 2 drill serjeants (warrant officers, class II, in addition).
1 main in each company will be trained, after mobilization to repair boots as a part-time employment, under the supervision of the R.A.O.C. shoemaker. 1 man in
each company will be trained in sanitary duties as a part-time employment.
