Come gather around me children and I will tell you a story of
The MAGICAL TREE
a story created by Shalav & AashrayaJune 2014
Long long time ago, in your
father’s father’sfather’s father’s
time… there lived a magical
tree.
The tree was magical because
the tree had a face. And
whenever you hugged the
tree, it smiled!
Every child went and hugged the
big tree. Whenever they
hugged the tree, the tree
smiled.
When the tree smiled, the many many
birds living on the tree smiled
as well….
When all the birds smiled, the whole world and mother
earth was also smiled…
Mr. Mad Bad who was great
great greatgrandfather of
the mischievous
family did not like the tree,
birds, and world smiling!
So Mr. Mad Bad wanted to
cut the tree…he
started cutting on a Monday…
Tuesday and Wednesday…
and all the birds were
scared.
Mr. Mad Bad could not cut
the tree …. because it was a magical tree … he cut and it
grew again…he cut and it grew again…he cut and it grew
again…
the magical tree told all the birds: Come my friends, DON’T be scared…take all my seeds to all parts of the world so that the trees may grow big and strong just
like me. All the birds agreed!
One little bluebird took a seed and placed it in Ekantakuna…where the little Prince & Princess loved
it, watered it and hugged it regularly…
Because the tree was loved, it grew and grew and grew… to a very big tree… the tree was always hugged
and watered…
When they hugged the tree, the tree
smiled deep inside and when the tree
smiled the birds smiled, and when
the birds smiled the whole world was
happy.
You may still find this big tree near your school in Ekantakuna… when you are coming to school and going back
can you check if there are big trees around your school?
…If you HUG a tree, it may be the sons and daughters of the big magical tree…and it may smile deep inside…and the birds may smile, and the world may smile….
…Who who wants to hug a tree… let listen to a song and then go out and hug one tree now…
