What drives motivation – internal drivers, external drivers identify and describe some and identify ones that are more actionable or able be changed and some that aren’t– ways to over come barriers might include finding activities and messages/messengers that are relevant, possible, relatable role models, accessible, low risk, easy initial activities (the hood); you also need to go deeper on recruitment early adopters and later adopters, use early adopters as peer ambassadors, what are other ways to recruit and retain?? Pay attention to who is joining up and who is not (are some groups consistently not participating? Why? Go back to selection of activities and messages, ask people what they would find appealing, listen, etc.

Been on a plane lately. We get dollared to death. Even so, the one thing we are asked to do is to put on our own mask before you try to help others. That is what we are talking about…taking care of yourself before you attempt to help others with their health. Also, throughout this presentation you will be introduced to some of the people at the Alliance who you will have the opportunity to work with and meet. This will give you the opportunity to put a face with a name.
