Apps & Techniques

• Uploading numerous files and file types as assignments in the LMS (docs, photos, videos, etc.)

• Scanners, Apps, Smartphones

• Google Drive & other cloud storage

• Speed Grader (LMS) – great reason for electronic uploads

• Student ePortfolios created within the LMS

Uploading Files to the LMS

PROS:• PLTW requirement for creating and maintaining

an electronic portfolio

• Teachers can grade electronically and provide immediate electronic feedback (Speed Grader)

CONS:• File uploads can involve numerous files and file

types (photos, software files, word & PDF docs, etc.)

• Can pose a technological challenge for students to upload files

PROS:

• Easy and most classrooms have access to one

CONS:• Very time consuming

• Not many have access to one outside of school

• Multisim files can’t easily be scanned – must print first

• Nearly all of the features in the LMS are available on the phone app

• Easy to submit assignments using Google Drive, Dropbox, or other cloud-based apps or

• Easy to submit photos of circuits or documents directly from your phone

• Best auto-crop, “enhance”, and annotate scanned images features

• Cloud based synch & storage available ($1.99) via Google Drive, Dropbox etc.

• Easy to use

• Students can use prior to uploading PDF files to the LMS
