The ladybug who lost

her spots

a fairy taleby students of 1S at Penrith PS, 2010

Once upon a time...

... on a very windy day, a red ladybug was flying over a long river.

. : .

:

The ladybug was flying too fast! The wind blew all of her spots off...

x

... and they fell down into the water.

Corey the crocodile was swimming in the river. He was looking for something to eat.

“I have important stuff to do. I didn’t have time to eat breakfast or lunch!”

x

Corey thought he saw some delicious tadpoles. “They look really yummy.”

He was soooo hungry!

Corey ate and ate until he was full.

“I think something’s wrong!”

Usually, tadpoles wriggled in Corey’s tummy, but these tadpoles didn’t move.

x

The red ladybug wanted her spots back. She asked some friends to help.

x

“How can we trick the crocodile to open his mouth?”

Corey opened wide!

The red ladybug flew down the crocodile’s throat...

... and found her missing spots.

x

She glued them back on with some honey she found in a hollow tree.

x

The other ladybugs escaped from the crocodile’s nostrils.

x

“Thank you for helping me!” said the happy red ladybug.

x

“Mmmmmm. Now I’m hungry again,” said Corey the crocodile.
